We were a little apprehensive to head camping this weekend with a group of our wardies but we caved to the peer pressure and decided to brave it. We left first thing this morning and it was a tight squeeze fitting all the necessities in the back of the Jeep! Luckily it all fit!
One thing we were not looking forward to was all the construction on our way to Flaming Gorge. We only got stopped at 2 places but it was pretty miserable and everyone was bored!
Finally once we were able to keep a constant speed Emmie crashed
We made it to Flaming Gorge and camped at Mustang Ridge (the same place I came for girls camp) and got camp set up first thing! Will was so excited to actually be camping finally!!!
And Emmie was so happy to be out of her carseat!
We headed to our groups spot at Sunny Cove and couldn't wait to get into the water!
Emmie and I spent our entire day hanging out on the beach together. She made good friends with the Kilpack's dog Harley and I was impressed with how well the German Shepherd/Lab mix tolerated her! It made me a little more open to the idea of a big dog. I honestly trusted Harley way more than some of the little dogs!
Mike and Will spent there day fishing, hiking, exploring and going on adventures! Both the Lythgoe's and the Jorgensen's had their boats and Will and Mike had so much fun boating on Chad's boat! Chad even let Will drive the boat and Mike said he had a blast :).
Here are a couple little video's of their fun!
I have to point out the cute little blonde sitting to the left of Will is Kaylee Lythgoe our babysitter and Will and Emmie LOVE her! It is so nice to finally have a regular sitter and someone we trust and can count on. She's a doll!
Emmie and I headed back to camp with the group to get dinner started while they got the boats in. Emmie was really such a great baby all day! She traveled well, played on the beach all day, and had done really well in the outdoor terrain. We had a great time around the campfire with Lythgoe's, Jorgensen's, Kilpack's, and Bryson's and its a lot of fun getting to know everyone better. Mike took Emmie on a short drive and she was out and we were able to transition her to the tent just fine. Will was dead tired and laid down without too much trouble and crashed! Both Mike and I knew we were in for a long night so we tried to get some sleep as well!
