Tummy Time!

I have been giving baby Emmie a lot of tummy time lately and (thanks to a smaller head than Will) she actually seems to really like it!

Will sure does love his little sister and LOVES to get right in her face!
And they are the best of friends already :)

Personal Space

Remember a few days ago how I was talking about personal space? Ha ha well tonight things got even better.  While I was putting Emmie to bed Will snuck out of his room and into the nursery and wanted me to hold him.  I just couldn't say no to my handsome little man so I managed to squeeze him and Emmie in together and got them BOTH to sleep!

I am pretty much sure I have the two cutest kids ever :)

Thomas the Tank Engine Puffing Along........

The other day while I was cleaning I came across a Thomas computer game that I had picked up months ago. I installed it and showed Will how to use the mouse pad on my laptop and let him have at it on my laptop since its on its way out anyway. I was amazed at how fast he figured everything out and when I tried to play I had to have him help me! Crazy! Well anyway the point of this post is that now Will is obsessed with the game and now only refers to Thomas as "Thomas the Tank Engine Puffing Along". It's pretty funny. He also still insists on hanging out in his undies most of the day :)

Emmie's Mini Album

Another reason why I LOVE Caralee:

This pic doesn't do the mini album justice but it is seriously adorable :)

New Car!

We finally decided we have had enough of the Trailblazer and its frequent breakdowns this past year.  With two kiddos we just needed to have something more reliable but I was being so resistant since we just bought Mike a new car a few months ago!  It is crazy to go from NO car payments to suddenly TWO!  Needless to say I can't wait to get them payed off again :).  But I am so excited to have my brand new GORGEOUS and most importantly RELIABLE Jeep!!!

It is absolutely amazing and I am so in LOVE with it!  It is seriously so nice and I am so lucky to have such an awesome hubby who spoils us like crazy :)  Thanks babe!!

[nursing time]

One of the most interesting times of our days now are when I am nursing Emmie, which all you nursing moms can appreciate. Will (knock on wood) has been pretty good and hasn't gotten into too much trouble but sometimes he insists that he sit on the ottoman in Emmie's room or climb all over my legs while I nurse. Its fun........okay it's pretty darn challenging at times! On one hand its so sweet that Will wants to be right with us but on the other its super hard not to get annoyed and I am wondering when I get my personal space back :) ha ha not for a long time I'm sure! Today Will was playing under my legs between the rocker and ottoman and when I finished nursing I was surprised to find Will totally asleep!

Love this cute little kiddo!
He he so dang cute :)
I decided to leave Will as is and took advantage of some quiet time for Mommy while both kids slept!
It was pure heaven :)

{gorgeous girl}

One of the fun things about having Caralee take Emmie's newborn pics is that our sweet baby Emmie gets to be used as a model for some of her online prop connections websites!  So cute and so fun!

I sure think we have one gorgeous baby girl!

Determined Playtime

Will comes up with the funniest things to entertain himself lately!  Today while I was nursing Emmie he asked if he could go play in the backyard so I moved to our bedroom so I could keep an eye on him from the window.  He could hear our neighbors playing so I guess he decided to try and climb the fence to go play with them!  It was so funny because he was trying everything he could think of to climb over :)

Moving the wagon over:

Almost!
Hmmm.......
Maybe the skateboard will help?!
So close!
Maybe a baseball bat will help........hahaha!!!
Oh man he kept at it for about a half hour trying everything he could think of with his toys!  It was so funny.  I was relieved he didn't think to stack the tractor on top of the wagon or he might have had some luck ;).  I have a feeling I'm going to have to hide the wagon once he's tall enough to reach the top of the fence!

{cradle bedding}

Since I haven't blogged about any of my crafty projects lately I thought I would post a quick pic of the adorable cradle bedding Stacy helped me redo for Emmie. I LOVE how it turned out!!!  Its all out of minky fabric and the owl sheet is actually a blanket instead of a fitted sheet so baby Emmie can have a cute cuddly blanket too!

Yummy Yummy!

With approval from Dr Allred we decided to start Emmie on some yummy rice cereal this week!  She is growing up so fast and is such a little doll!

Ready to eat:
First taste:
Not to sure about it:
Really not too sure about it!
And finally our smiley girl decides its YUMMY!
Little Emmie is growing up so fast and we sure do love her lots!  She is such an amazing baby and has been sleeping through the night for weeks now.  Emmie is such a mellow baby and travels really well and hardly cries except if she is hungry, this girl loves her mama's milk!

Fun Times in Idaho Falls

Since I am desperately trying to get caught up on blogging I have decided to continue posting current updates as well as working on catching up July and August so hopefully this can help me stay current :).

We just got home from a few fun days in Idaho Falls and had so much fun with the Thompson's as usual.  It was also a great way to break in the new Jeep!

{Tuesday August 16}
 My Mom was still in town so she helped me clean my entire house and pack while Mike met with some clients in the morning.  It was so much help!!!  There is nothing better than coming home to a clean house so thanks a bunch Mom!  On the drive to IF Will INSISTED on bringing my laptop with his new Thomas game and was quick to put on the headphones while Emmie cried at first.  It was too cute!

We had a relaxing evening cooking dinner and just hanging out while the kids played.  Will LOVES playing with Jess, Nat, and Ty and I LOVE having 3 babysitters to entertain Will!  We headed to bed early so we could get some rest before we headed to the lake.

{Wednesday August 17}
Aimee and Justin purchased a gorgeous new boat last year and we have been so anxious to come and play with them.  We headed to Blacktail and were surprised at how empty the lake was!

Aimee wake boarding:
Nat:
Baby Emmie's first time boating!
Jess & Emmie:
Ty:
Will & Daddy:
I was so excited to have the chance to learn how to wake board!!!!
Will was pretty worried ;)
YAY I DID IT!!!
I even crossed the wake:

But couldn't get back in!
This little Mama of two needs to get her butt in shape so she can do some more!
Jess was such a big help with Emmie:
The two trouble makers :)
Emmie was such a good girl the whole day and we were so relieved she did so well!
We finally convinced Will to tube with us and he was so brave!  Uncle Justin went pretty slow and Will loved it!  We slowly increased the speed and Will did great!  I think I was more nervous than he was ;).
After a long day of boating Ty and Will relaxed by watching Jurassic Park.  Will got scared and Ty was such a cutie and held him on his lap:
So cute!

{Thursday August 18}
We hadn't really planned anything for today but decided last minute to head to The Riot Zone in Rigby to let the kids drive go karts.  The whole drive down Mike and Uncle Justin were convincing Will he was 4 years old so he could drive his own car.  I think the poor kid is so confused now!  When Aimee and I got there Will was in line with the big kids so he must have got it right.........

He was so excited!
I was super nervous he wouldn't listen to the instructions but he totally surprised me and did great!  He waited until the attendant gave him the go ahead and everything!

Ty & Will racing:
Go Will Go!
He is such a big kid :)
Then of course he couldn't pass up the bouncy houses:
We ended our day roasting marshmallows in Aimee and Justin's gorgeous new fire pit and it was the perfect way to end our quick trip to Idaho Falls.
We had such a fun time and were so glad  we could make it up to go boating.  Will has so much fun playing with the big kids and I love all the extra help and spending time with my sister.  Both Will and Emmie were so good and traveled great the whole time!  Thanks so much Aimee and Justin for having us, we love you guys!!!
