The BEST time of the day

Nap time. All you mommy's out there can agree. Nap time is the BEST time of the day. It is usually when I am able to catch up on things and pick up a little but mainly just take a breather! Will is such a little smarty pants and is learning a bizillion things a day. His latest is holding onto the crib and jumping, yes jumping. Its hilarious and I am amazed at how strong Will's upper body is. The kids got muscle! He has also figured out how to pull the bumper teething rail things off the top of the crib and he bangs them on the bars and LOVES the loud noise it makes. What a boy, I love it!

C.P.S.

The other day Will was being very "helpful" while I tried to do the laundry and get it all folded and put away. Let me explain that I am a little O.C.D. with a few things in life and laundry is definitely one of those things. I was going crazy with Will crawling all over and messing it all up and had to get him distracted from what I was doing. I guess the laundry basket is a toy too right? I was laughing so hard because he was having so much fun and it made me realize that the laundry could wait. So I loaded the basket up with toys (and Will) and played with him for the rest of the day, and didn't touch the laundry again for 2 days!

Not a day goes by that I don't stop and realize how lucky I am to have Will here to play with. I guess its the blessings through the trials that make us remember how lucky we are to have each other. Will getting sick definitely made me stronger and taught me to appreciate all that goes into being his Mommy. Even when things are a bit rough (oh yeah he cut 2 more teeth in one week) I still am filled with such gratitude to have Will here.

And PS please don't call Child Protective Services on me! I swear Will loves it :)

2 Perfect Valentines

This year was by far the best Valentines Day ever! Its not that we did anything spectacular its just being together as a little family that makes it so perfect :) We were lucky enough to have the Thompson Fam visiting us and they kept things entertaining and fun as usual. Will loves all the extra attention and we love all the extra baby sitters! We survived a day of shopping together (haha Aimee, barely) and my sis was nice enough to watch Will Saturday night so Mike and I could go out.
Mike decided to be a nice loving husband and go see a chick flick with me since it was Valentines Day and everything. We went and saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic" mainly because I love the books and the previews looked funny. I was super surprised through the whole movie as Mike was laughing SOOO loud the ENTIRE time! The movie was hilarious and definitely a must see if your in the mood to laugh. We had a blast and grabbed some Baskin Robbins (my fav) and headed home.

Mike also surprised me this year with this gorgeous diamond necklace! So much for our $30 budget! I definitely felt kinda lame giving him his new scripture case though after getting such a beautiful necklace :( What a sweetie though, it only took a returned watch, and returned set of earrings for Mike to finally get it right this year :) Love ya babe!
I have been lazy lately with taking pics and cant believe I didn't get one pic while my Mom was here a few weeks ago and then last weekend when Thompson's were here. I need to stop being lazy and get on it again!
I did manage to get this cute one of Will :) He has started refusing to nap and sleep now that he pulls himself up in his crib and usually plays for about an hour before finally falling asleep. The past few days he has started falling asleep like this, sitting up. Its so funny and I have to stretch him out so he doesn't cramp up. Too cute!

Chic Saver

I am ADDICTED to my new found love of couponing! Its insane and I LOVE it! I had a class last Thursday and my cute friend Annalisa taught us all how to save and save LOTS! I made these adorable and yummy treats and was sad that so many of you missed out that night and forced me to eat all the remaining ones!!!

I am still just a novice at this but think I did pretty good for my first two attempts. Tell me what ya think!

Above was my first attempt and I got all of this for $2.17!

My second attempt above and I scored all this for only $1.63! Crazy huh?

I have also started another blog to track all my savings and encourage all you Chic Mommy's out there to start saving! Feel free to check it out at http://chicsavers.blogspot.com/ and its not private so feel free to share it with anyone you want. Happy Saving Everyone!

Will's 1st Haircut

A few weekends ago Ashley and I decided to give Will his 1st haircut and get him used to the clippers early on. After getting all the foils in my hair we strapped Will in his high chair and got started! He did so good! The clippers didn't bother him much at first but as time went on he started to become unsure of them. It was so cute! I trimmed up the fohawk and tried not to be too O.C.D. with his haircut! Will was actually a lot better than Mike is when he is getting his haircut :) What a studly little man!

Will also has been keeping Mommy quite busy these days! He is an army crawling machine and is starting to figure out how to use his legs to help out. He finds the funniest ways to pull himself around the house and the other day was using his foot against the wall to push off to go faster. He loves the hardwood floor and gets going so fast, its hilarious! He has also started climbing around on things and is learning to pull himself up everywhere. It is so fun!

He is also starting to really figure out how to get in trouble too. The other day I was working on a Valentines Day package for Aunt Whitni and looked over to see Will taking the lids off of the markers and drawing on himself! I am a bad Mom, but it was hilarious! And I am sure just the start to a life full of trouble and mischief for this little boy.

Will also had his 9 month check up and is definitely a growing boy! He now weighs 24.3 lbs and is 30 1/2 inches tall! That's almost 3 feet tall already!! I felt like he was getting big but jeesh, soon he will be bigger than me! He is in the 93% for his age and is 103% of his ideal (height and weight) and is just overall a big boy! I love it so much that his is big and healthy!

We are still working on the whole sleep thing though :( Some nights go really good, others not so much. Its frustrating but understandable considering in the ICU they poke and check them every 3 hours which seems to be the same times he wakes up at night. Rough but so worth it! Sleep is over rated anyway :)

Fun night at my house to learn how to SAVE!

Hey everyone! I am going to having a class at my house on Thursday February 12th at 6:30 pm to teach everyone how to save TONS of money on their grocery bill each week. Check out the pics to see how crazy cheap we will learn to get things!

Everything pictured above only cost $5.00!

Everything in this picture was only $8.00! That's insane, look at all those diapers!

In this picture they PAID her $2.00 to take it!

And in this one she got PAID $7.00 to take!

Check out the website at http://slavetosave.synthasite.com/

The cost of our class will be $10 a person but you will save at LEAST that much the first week you start applying what you learn! There will be some fun giveaways, some good treats, and lots of invaluable information.

Please RSVP to me ASAP so I can make sure we have enough people coming to make it worth Annalisa's time and travel. I cant wait to see everyone and start saving lots of money!
