Getting Out of the House

I am so glad I can get out of the house and soak up some sun and feel normal again!  It is so nice to pack up and head to Cherry Hill with Will and Emmie.  Emmie is such a great baby and is content in the front carrier with her feet dangling in the water.  Will is way happy to be out doing something and especially happy to be swimming!

Will LOVES to get Emmie to smile and laugh!

I sure do love my kids!

Cole's Party

Our neighbor Cole invited Will to his birthday party and Will was beyond excited!  He has carried around the invite for a week and kept asking when the party was so I was happy the day had finally arrived!

He is just so darn handsome!

Cherry Hill

One thing thats been really hard with nursing is having to let go and let Will do his own thing while I nurse.  I have gone from knowing everything Will is doing to just hoping he's okay and it has been so hard!  Most of the time I feel like a bad mom to either him or Emmie or both of them at the same time.  Hopefully I get the hang of it soon because some days are just plain hard.  I just hope they know I really truly did try the best I could to be the best mom I could to both of them :(.  After nursing Emmie I found Will in his room like this:

Pretty cute huh?!

With both kids asleep I decided to be brave and attempt Cherry Hill for the first time this season with both kids in toe!  I got everything ready and when they woke up we headed out:

We all needed to get out and loved every minute of it!

One small victory for me!  Maybe there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel after all ;).

Days Like Today :)

Its days like today when life doesn't quite go like its supposed to that I love my cute hubby even more.  We spent the morning running some errands and then doing some shopping at Gateway and our way home our beloved Trailblazer decided to call it quits AGAIN!!!!  I swear this car in jinxed and we have been having all sorts of problems with it since last fall and when it broke down again this afternoon we were beyond frustrated!  Luckily Mike's friend Ryan lives about 5 minutes away from where we broke down so he rushed right over to rescue me and the two kiddos and took us home.  Thank you thank you Ryan!  While we waited Mike and I couldn't help but laugh at the situation :)  That is one reason I absolutely LOVE Mike because he helps me to laugh about things instead of cry!  He is such a good man!!

GRRR little Trailblazer!!!!!
Calling the tow truck:

Miss Emmie waiting patiently

Here's to hoping my car can stay out of the shop for more than a month this time :)

24th of July

Pioneer Day is such a big holiday in Utah and this year we decided to brave the crowds and enjoy Handcart Days here in Bountiful.  Will was so excited and had so much fun enjoying the festivities!

Mmmmm, nachos!

Handy Helper

We had a sprinkler pipe break so Mike was fixing it today and had the perfect little helper at his side the whole time :).

There's nothing like a good long bath after a day of hard work!

Emmie and I had a great afternoon too ;)

Adapting

I'd like to say I am adapting to having two kids and doing so fabulously but the truth is I feel like my whole world has been tipped upside down and I am just holding on for dear life!  Somedays are good and some days are bad.  I know I will make it through this but I feel like such a failure in the process.  Emmie is such an amazingly good baby and once we get her nursing faster I know things will improve and I just trying really hard to enjoy all the cuddling while it lasts.

She really is such a sweetie!
Will is hanging in there with all the changes and is doing way better than I am.  I feel so guilty not being able to give him the attention I used to be able to and he has done remarkably well adjusting to all the changes.  He is exercising his independence by ditching the whitey tighties when I'm not looking though!

Mike came home early so I could take Will to Cherry Hill one on one and we met up with his buddies there too.  It was a nice little break for both of us!

I just have to keep telling myself I can do this!!!!!
