Killer Sunburn

After our fabulous trip to Moab, I was lucky enough to return with the WORST sunburn I have ever had. Seriously it was KILLER! It was so bad that Monday I still couldn't move and take care of Will so I was lucky enough to have Grandma Stacy come get Will and watch him for the day. Thank goodness!

Here is how they spent their day:

Picking on little Coco and taking over her house!

Poor Coco :)
And my favorite:
Being completely silly! I love it!

It even ended with Will coming home in Grandma Stacy's pink shirt because I forgot to pack the jammies. Too cute!

Thanks Grandma Stacy!

Moab

Mike is on the Young Agents Council and we were lucky enough to be chosen to enjoy a vacation to Moab by the good people at Workers Compensation Fund. It was amazing to say the least and soo much fun! Moab is one of our favorite places ever and it was so nice to go on somebody else's dime for a change.

WCF chose the Red Cliffs Lodge for us to stay at and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Our room overlooked the Colorado River and it was so relaxing and beautiful.

On Wednesday when we arrived Mike and I did a few short hikes in Arches and then relaxed at the hotel and went swimming.

Window Arch (I think)

On Thursday morning a group of us headed into the Fiery Furnace to explore and have fun together. And oh my did we have some fun! The group was hilarious and so much fun to be with. I swear I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
The Fiery Furnace Group

I am not sure what Mike is looking for???
But he always finds fun little things on hikes!

So many fun places to explore!
We love hiking if you didn't know!

After lunch Mike and I headed for a spot just outside of Moab called Gemini Bridges. The road to get there was extremely rough but once we got there it was so worth it! Gemini Bridges is an arch that you can walk over and it was so insanely high and freaky! I am not afraid of heights but this arch had me thinking twice about it!

Gemini Bridges
That is Mike, he looks like an ant, now you get the idea of how big it is!
Like I said you can walk over it and it is so scary! They used to allow people to drive over it until a few years ago someone lost control and their jeep slid off and they didn't make it back. I couldn't imagine trying to drive over it, its scary enough just walking over it, with plenty of room.

On Friday we got to spend the day rafting the Colorado River. The rapids were class 3 and class 4 that day and were at their prime. Keep in mind that guides will only navigate up to a class 5, and rapids only go up to class 6. So they were good!

(sorry they are tiny, I couldn't figure out any other way to get them on from our water camera)

I almost got sucked out of the boat when we hit the Skull Rapid. It was awesomely terrifying! (the buttom left pic was right after) I loved rafting and cant wait to go again!

On Saturday we finished up our trip with a Slick Rock Hummer tour. It was something I probably wouldn't have picked to do, but is now something I will definitely be doing again!

Most of the group at the look out we drove to on Slick Rock

I love you babe!

We had so much fun on this trip but missed little Will terribly. A BIG THANK YOU to my sister Aimee and her family for coming down to watch Will for us. Thankfully he was a good boy and fit right in with the Thompson kiddos!

Fathers Day

We had such a busy and fun Fathers Day this year. We started out by heading to Delta for my cousins homecoming and meeting up with Mom and Dad there. I forgot to get a pic with my Dad but I was so glad I could see him and give him a hug :) Will decided it was play time during church and Daddy ended up running circles around the church the whole time to keep Will happy.

Such a good Daddy!

Then we were of to have lunch with Mike's Dad:

And finally we ended the day having dinner with Brent:

It was such a busy day but so much fun! We love our Dads so much and are so thankful Will has such great Grandpa's! We love you guys!

We made it home in once piece, sort of

Will and I had soo much fun in Idaho Falls this past week! We are both tired and wore out so just a short post tonight but I couldn't resist sharing this pic:
Will decided to 'help' me while I made a quick trip to the store for a few items and I was seriously dying when he took a perfectly placed bite out of my list. There was only like 5 items on the list and I stood there for 5 minutes trying to remember what the first two items were, classic!

This time more play :)

Since I don't nearly visit my fam enough Will and I decided to make a trip home again this next week. This time we hope to PLAY more than we WORK!

My best friend Ashely will be working in one of the newly acquired IB&B stores (now Malys.....err whatever their name is now) so it gave me the perfect excuse to come home and entertain her with the happening hot spots around Idaho Falls. It is kinda funny that Malys/Loreal has been working on acquiring IB&B for years and the year I quit they get it! It doesn't change my decision to stay home, it only makes me a little sad at times. All you Mommy's out there know what I am talking about. You go from being super successful business woman~to taking a week to finish the laundry. But it is by far the BEST WEEK EVER! No joke. Never in my entire life have I went to bed so tired but so ultimately fulfilled. I am so lucky that Mike works hard and supports our family so I can stay home. Thanks babe!

Since we didn't really get a summer last year, aside from hospital stays and being pent up inside with PICC lines, I have been extremely anxious this year for summer! Oh how I LOVE to be outside! Thankfully our little Will seems to love it too and SCREAMS when we come back inside. Yesterday we tried out the new bike trailer we got Will for his birthday (thanks Ash and Heather :) and had soo much fun. We hadn't been out on the new Legacy Parkway trails yet and can already tell we are going to love it. It is soo close to our house and perfect to bike on. Even for being out of shape we managed to do 10 miles, woot woo! It was a blast :)

We also decided to give Daddy his Fathers Day present early and he was so surprised! He has been wanting it forever and I was so sneaky at keeping it a surprise for him. Its a pack that also doubles as a child carrier and it is AMAZING! It has a lot of different adjustments so both Mike and I can use it and I was shocked at how comfortable it is with Will's not so little 26 lbs in it. Super comfy.

Did I mention how much we LOVE summer?
